How does distance learning work?
Students will be provided digital lessons and instructional resources through their teachers' Google classrooms. Students and families will be expected to check in with their teachers regularly. Teachers will hold office hours during the day; this means that each teacher will have a set three hours during which he or she is available to talk with you and your student by email or phone or video conferencing. Outside of those hours, teachers will still return correspondence within 24 hours. For additional questions, email

Need a mobile hotspot?
If you do not have reliable home Internet and need help getting a mobile wireless hotspot, the district has more units on the way. Devices are distributed on a first come, first served basis based on requests submitted by schools and departments. Please email our Technology Specialist Mr. Joseph Preston so that he can submit your request for you.
Free Comcast Internet
If you are a low-income family in a Comcast service area, you can sign up as a new customer for two free months of internet service. This is part of an initiative by Comcast to help students access the Internet during the coronavirus school closure. Click on this link to read all the details about this offer:

Chromebook issues?
If you are experiencing technical difficulties with your Chromebook, you may use the
Distance Learning Support Form, or call the school at 239.936.1759 and ask for the technology specialist, Joseph Preston. Please do not come directly to the school.
Not sure how to use Zoom?
For a full set of instructions on how to use the Zoom video-conferencing tool with your teacher, click here:

Teachers will simply send a link to their "Zoom Room" and students can follow that link to participate in the video conference at the appropriate time.
Zoom not working?
If your teacher has invited you to a Zoom video-conference and Zoom isn't working for you, please do a full restart of your computer (shut down all the way and turn back on).
No Chromebook at home?
If there is not at least one Chromebook in your household, please contact the school at 239.936.1759. However, it is still possible for you to access student resources on your own home computer. For help doing so, read the directions in this link:

Food for Students
Free food is available to all students. These bagged breakfasts and lunches can be picked up at designated Grab & Go sites. FMMA is one of these sites. We operate from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on the bus ramp. For details on more pickup locations that are available, click here:
