Credit Requirements for Middle School Students

Beginning in the 2006-2007 school year students who entered grade 6 were informed that they would be required to earn 12 academic credits — 3 credits in Language Arts, 3 credits in Math, 3 credits in Science, and 3 credits in Social Studies. Additionally, students have to earn a half (.50) credit in Careers Education course by the end of grade 8.

As a part of middle school requirements, all students must receive twelve and a half (12.50) credits in order to progress to high school.
