The FMMA administrative team brings many years of experience to FMMA. These dedicated professionals work closely together to set the stage for a collaborative and positive school culture, to provide the foundation for consistently improving student outcomes, and to lead the instructional staff.
Mrs. Lynn Edward, Principal
Mrs. Edward, a graduate of USF and FGCU, comes to FMMA with 30 years of experience in the School District of Lee County and 17 years of experience as an administrator. She has been married to John Edward, a physical education teacher in Lee County, for 21 years, and together she and John have 7 children and 4 grandchildren. Mrs. Edward loves to run marathons and has even completed the Disney Goofy Challenge--which consists of a half-marathon on Saturday and a full marathon on Sunday, for a total of 36.3 miles in one weekend! Aside from her passion for running, Mrs. Edward also has a love for tennis, golf, and the beach. Her primary goal for FMMA this year is for everyone to know that it is ALWAYS a great day at Fort Myers Middle Academy.
Dr. Denise Fitzpatrick, Assistant Principal for Curriculum
Dr. Fitzpatrick, a graduate of USF, has 20 years of experience in the School District of Lee County and 9 years of experience as an administrator. She has two children, one son and one daughter. When she's not spending time with her kids, she loves working out in the yard and competing in triathlons.
Mr. Winston Woods, Assistant Principal for Student Affairs
Mr. Woods, a graduate of Walsh University and the American College of Education, is entering his 11th year with the School District of Lee County and his 4th year as an administrator. Mr. Woods loves to stay active, work out, watch movies, and read about psychology and personal growth, and he is also a huge Miami Hurricanes fan. His number one goals for FMMA are to create a culture of respect and for students to take pride in their individual learning.
